Bow Ear Saver:
I created these ear savers as a project for a friend's daughter who I taught when she was in Kindergarten Boot Camp. What's Kindergarten Boot Camp? It was a three day introduction to school to ease students into starting school. They made friends, got to go on a Gingerbread Man hunt around the school so they could get to know where classrooms were, and got to play and have fun. We have since changed the name from Kindergarten Boot Camp to Kindergarten Experience, but she was one of my first students.
You need:
4.5 mm hook
Worsted weight yarn in your color choice
5/8 inch button
Yarn needle
Glossary:
Chain
Half Double Crochet (HDC)
Stitches (sts)
Row 1: Chain 16
Row 2: HDC In the second chain from the hook. HDC in the next 15 sts. (15) Ch 1, Turn.
Row 3-5: HDC in each stitch. (15) Ch 1, Turn.
Fasten and tie off once you are done with row 5. Cut a tail 24 inches long. Sew on buttons and tie off tail periodically. Wind the remaining tail in the middle of the bow. Tie off. Weave in ends.
